Applause for the Eco-Heroes

ANZEIGE

Each as he can – the main thing he does. And this is the reason why Leonardo di Caprio said it with words and the actresses Sophie Turner and Lily Cole showed it with clothes for environmental protection and social responsibility. No question, that we have chosen our Eco-Heroes of the Oscar night 2016

Our Top 3 Eco-Heroes of the Oscar night

Leonardi di Caprio

Somehow, it takes a load off our minds. Leonardo di Caprio finally was allowed take his first Oscar home last night. Always nominated again. And again and again missed out. For his role in master director Alejandro Iñárritus thriller “The Revenant” the 41-year-old superstar has now cleared the same in the supreme discipline as “Best Actor”. What the self-confessed environmental activist makes the two-time winner of the evening? His plea to environmental protection and climate change during his Oscar speech. He could have used hardly a better platform.

Climate change is real, it is the most urgent threat facing our species. Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take tonight for granted.

Lily Cole

That the 28-year-old vegetarian is involved for environmental protection (e.g. a sneaker collection for Veja) and for social projects, is great. At Oscar night 2016, the Briton has surprised us in one from recycled plastic bottles produced, silver Vivienne Westwood couture dress. With her appearance for the internationally active association Red Carpet Green Dress (#RCGD), which aims to raise the awareness of sustainability in fashion, has actress Lily Cole (e.g. “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus,” “Snow White and the Huntsman”) provided on the red carpet for a lot of excitement. And shown, how great may look sustainable, recycled fashion. We love!

Fashion can be humane, environmentally friendly, and absolutely stunning. Suzy Amis Cameron, Ehefrau von James Cameron („Avatar“) #RCGD

Sophie Turner

Sophie Turner, 20-year-old “Game of Thrones” – or “X Men Apocalypse” star, was just like Lily Cole, to go on the red carpet at the service of sustainability for Red Carpet Green Dress. Her gorgeous dress by British whiz label Galvan that was founded, 2014 by Anna-Christin Haas, Sola Harrison, Katherine Holmgren and Carolyn Hodler in London, was produced fair. Go then!
