ANZEIGE

Founders of exciting food startups and entrepreneurs met at Polyform in the Baaderstraße in Munich to introduce interested Foodies their delicious-local products. From the delicious, local food and drink concepts I have compiled a selection here. One thing is clear: For me, local food is a matter of taste – namely: a matter of good taste!

Six local taste Highlights: Eat local!

Emil’s Bio-Manufaktur – dressings and mayonnaise

Under the motto “Homemade quality” Jens Wages and Michael Wiese make organic dressings and dips completely WITHOUT granulated sugar, without thickener and without a single additive. Available are among the dressings different flavors (my favorite: honey mustard dressing – because it’s so well with the spaetzle salad – see below) and also the vegan mayo in different, delicious variations. Everything suitable for the upcoming BBQ season! Meanwhile, the two Emils-founders in Stuttgart set up together with an organization, that helps people back into work, its own production. I think: Sustainable squared!

Mahlefitz: Munich Precision Coffee

Coffee is not just Coffee. And for the avid coffee drinkers among us, coffee is even a unique philosophy. Coffee philosophers and passionate fans of delicious hot drink have with the Coffee roaster with the attached Coffee Mahlefitz in Nymphenburgerstraße in Munich a pilgrimage of good taste. Here the best coffee from fresh ground beans come in the cup. In Mahlefitz it comes in addition to quality and to the social responsibility. Therefore Mahlefitz paid his coffee producers higher than provided for the Fairtrade price. Many Coffees are from organic farming or are even prepared under biodynamic viewpoints. By the way: From now on Fridays at 18 o’clock there´s a Coffee tasting. Register here: info@mahlefitz.de

Bergbrause – mountain pine Lemonade

With Bergbrause the first Lemonade from the mountain pine came on the market. Taste it is somewhat reminiscent of the Austrian Almdudler, but is based on an old family recipe of the Stadler family of Berchtesgaden. Its content sets the organic certified Bergbrause – in addition to the ultimate refreshment kick of pure mountain spring water – on natural ingredients. All ingredients come from the region around the Königssee. Artificial flavors have no place in this Limo, any more than sugar.

Isar Bier: organic beer from Bavaria

Pale Beer with special taste, less alcohol, brewed by hand, using local raw materials from organic farming. All these requirements are met by the Riedenburger Brauhaus, where brewed organically since 20 years. Here the Isar Bier has found his home. Every brew is baptized with a few drops of pure spring water of the Isar. Unfiltered. Cold hopped. From best Hallertau aroma hops and malted barley from organic cultivation. But what shall we say? Bottom up!

Aeijst – Gin from Styria

Aeijst. As complicated as the name sounds for us, so easy he is in his native Austria. Because Aeijst (spoken Ej-st) is nothing more than branches of shrubs. The Pale-Gin is made by the family Thomann in southern Styria, 100 percent organic ingredients in a loving hand. Aside from the fact that I find the logo great, as a passionate gin drinker I have to say, after tasting thumbs up for this taste highlight! With Aeijst a new favorite Gin ranks in my top 5 now.

Frizle: press fresh spaetzle

Who has ever eaten homemade spaetzle, knows that there is no alternative Spaetzle in the refrigerated section. At least that was so until Frizle, with the “Best New Product Award” (Organic Trade Nuremberg) has landed in the refrigerated section with this excellent Spaetzle innovation. Thanks Frizle there is a package, which is simultaneously a Spaetzle press, filled with the best, untreated, raw spaetzle dough can be pressed deliciously uncomplicated and incredibly directly into the saucepan. Available in a classic with egg, red and spicy with chili and spicy fresh wild garlic (perfect salad with pine nuts, arugula and Emil honey mustard dressing – see above).
