The high-fashion label Jan ‘n June from Hamburg (a reference to the birth month of the two founders) was founded by the AMD students Anna Bronowski and Juliana Holtzheimer financed by a crowdfunding called Nordstarter. Within weeks, 10,000 euros were collected, with the aid the first collection “Supergirl” (FS 2015) could be produced. The approach of Jan ‘n June: Fashionable. Affordable. Sustainable.

Sustainability:
In addition to certified natural textiles such as organic cotton and Micro Modal the girls from Hamburg use recycled polyester and recycled cotton. The two designers are always looking for new materials and do not want to be limited to conventional textiles. In their production, both dispense entirely on animal raw materials such as wool, silk and leather, for which they won in the category “Best Designer” the PETA Vegan Fashion Award. The collection is produced in a small, family-run sewing company in Poland. Thanks incorporated hangtag the entire production chain can be tracked. Besides clothes Jan ‘n June also pays attention to sustainability in packaging, office supplies, etc.
