The skirt needs – just like the pants – the matching top. Cool shirt, strict blouse, low-cut top, tight fitting roll neck – the possibilities are great and a decision must be made. I meet all day decisions (what the girls get as a snack for school, what’s for lunch on the table, which date I create still on top …) and sometimes I likes to finish dressing with a single handle, without making me great thoughts. And here the shirtdress comes into play. The only piece of clothing that is as simple to style, incidentally, is the jumpsuit. But the Jumpsuit has – who ever went to a party with an Onesuit, know what I mean – in handling very clear disadvantages. For this reason, there is my personal tribute to the shirtdress!

Whether relaxing teatime with mom at Café Luitpold, brunch with the girls in the favorite café, business appointment in the editing office or Vernissage in one of the fantastic Munich galleries – with a shirtdress one never is actually wrong. And: The search for the perfect top is obsolete. The perfect model I found at one of my favorite Eco-Labels: Jan ‘n June from Hamburg designed with Emma the ultimate shirtdress. Floral white, of two different materials (up delicate poplin, down a heavy denim like substance) produced what distinguishes it from its sometimes boring conspecifics. Equipped with a small collar and button bar, which you close all the way up or something naughty (phew, what a horrible word, but you know what I mean) can unbutton, can also style this wonderful piece of clothing in different ways.

Once slipped you have to do is decide whether to ugrade with heels or downgrade with sneakers or flats (as Birkenstock with black finish). My heels I’ve since ever. But there are fantastic sustainable alternatives.

The bag? Of course, is dependent on the event and the time. During the day I prefer the Crossbody Bag. For evening, the clutch is tuned. How convenient that my favorite bag from Nine to Five is both. In the evening I simply clip of the carrier. And done!

And because the summer won´t start, I decided knit socks (by the way, I have knitted them for my dad). Fingers crossed – maybe I can still store them someday this summer further back in the drawer. Although I find socks in heels pretty cool. Who feels the same, will find at Minga Berlin gorgeous models from organic cotton.
