Over the years my wardrobe has seen various coats<\/strong> come and go, but the perfect winter coat was never present. I have a black wool classic<\/strong> from Virmani and a wonderfully warm, but rather opulent lambskin jacket<\/strong> in my wardrobe. While the first was often not the right choice, because black is sometimes too dark for me, the really great lambskin coat is a real gem, but unfortunately does not fit on every occasion. And that’s exactly what makes the perfect winter coat for me – it should always fit.<\/strong> And of course it should be sustainable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The perfect winter coat – my love for life<\/h2>\n

This summer, I have looked at the jacket and coat label LangerChen<\/strong> extensively at the Greenshowroom<\/a> in Berlin and tried numerous models. I fell in love with an outrageously great and wonderfully timeless trenchcoat<\/strong> and a rather sophisticated longbomber.<\/strong> But both are from the upcoming summer season and won\u00b4t help me in the winter.<\/p>\n

For the summer on the list: Trenchcoat or Longbomber <\/div><\/div><\/span><\/h4>\n

Sure, where I looked around to bring the topic “The perfect winter coat” maybe still to a positive conclusion. And indeed, I found my dream coat<\/strong> at LangerChen. “Eugene” is a bit Japan-inspired<\/strong> and leaves enough room to carry various layers underneath. And it has just the right length<\/strong> so that the hem of my beloved midi skirts<\/a> does not appear. Plus: jeans, joggers, office pants? Anyway, because “Eugene” is just perfect<\/strong>. To all.<\/p>\n

A coating of recycled PET bottles turns my winter coat into a super cute companion <\/div><\/div><\/span><\/h4>\n

The perfect winter coat is not only beautiful<\/strong>, but also pretty smart<\/strong>: wool coat<\/strong> on the outside and a coating of recycled PET bottles<\/strong> on the inside. Pretty clever, because so the nasty winter wind has no chance and I can ride a bike in any weather. Even the lapel collar<\/strong> can be completely closed thanks to extra buttons<\/strong>. Sorry, I’m still not finished with my hymn of approval: cool details like large outer pockets<\/strong> and a small zippered inside pocket<\/strong> where you can stow the most important treasures, make room for your phone, purse, house keys. In fact, lately, thanks to the coat, I’ve left my purse at home time after time.<\/p>\n

Beautiful AND good – the perfect winter coat <\/div><\/div><\/span><\/h4>\n

What can I say? Since I have the coat, I’ve worn it every (!) day and also every (!) day I received compliments<\/strong>. Privately, in the editorial department, at events. Everyone approached me and everyone gave me one of my enthusiastic lectures, that this coat is not only beautiful, but also good. The great jackets and coats are made of sustainable materials<\/strong> that LangerChen develops itself<\/strong>. And in Asia<\/strong>. Big eyes. Yes, China<\/strong> is on the red list for many sustainable people (although we have just learned that “Made in Europe<\/a>” is not always a quality feature either). But Philip Langer<\/strong> and his business partner Miranda Chen<\/strong> have their own production facility near Shanghai<\/strong>, and both care about sustainability<\/strong> and smart design<\/strong>. Shirt || Upshirt<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The mother label Reet Aus<\/a>, whose eponymous designer is regarded as an upcycling pioneer<\/strong>, I’ve known for some time. She was the first who dared to make upcycling mass suitable<\/strong>. All the more I was pleased to discover the great t-shirt label from Estonia<\/strong> at the Innatex<\/a>. Again an example of great story<\/strong> and fantastic design<\/strong>. In the classic T-shirt production namely an average of 18 percent<\/strong> fabric remain. Verena Bellutti<\/strong> also contributes with her beautiful, handmade<\/strong> bags to make the world not only more beautiful, but also a little bit better<\/strong>. Army jacket || Old is the new new<\/strong><\/h4>\n

On my 30th birthday<\/strong>, my best friend gave me an olive parka<\/strong> on which her then boyfriend (and today’s man) sewed an eagle<\/strong>. That was my absolute favorite jacket<\/strong> for years. In fact, I’ve worn her so incredibly many times that she was not 100 percent okay anymore. A few weeks ago I discovered this wonderful army jacket<\/strong> (like so many other things) at my favorite secondhand event Old is the new new<\/strong>. Belt || Bands of L.A.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I’m totally in love<\/strong> with these belts and fitts to everything – as a belt for jeans, as an eye-catcher<\/strong> over my shirt … They awaken the hippie<\/strong> in me, extend the summer into the winter and simply make for a lot of good mood<\/strong>.
