For his role in master director Alejandro<\/strong> I\u00f1\u00e1rritus<\/strong> thriller “The Revenant”<\/strong> the 41-year-old superstar has now cleared the same in the supreme discipline as “Best Actor”<\/strong>. What the self-confessed environmental activist<\/strong> makes the two-time winner of the evening? His plea to environmental protection<\/strong> and climate change<\/strong> during his Oscar speech. He could have used hardly a better platform.<\/p>\n

Climate change is real, it is the most urgent threat facing our species. Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take tonight for granted.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/h4>\n
