For the fourteenth time the Greenshowroom<\/strong> (high fashion) and for the tenth time, the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin<\/strong> (casual and streetwear) will take place in the Postbahnhof on the Stra\u00dfe der Pariser Kommune during the Berlin Fashion Week.<\/strong> With annually increasing number of exhibitors, the by the Messe Frankfurt organized event has now become the largest sustainable fashion fair<\/strong> in Europe and an exciting industry magnet.<\/p>\n

It will last forever, if you do it right<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/h4>\n

Eco-Fashion in Berlin<\/p><\/div>\n

Fantastic German Eco-labels,<\/strong> such as the Hamburg-based whiz Jan’n June<\/a>, the Eco Denim Label goodsociety<\/a>, the accessories label Nine to Five<\/a> and ALINASCHUERFELD<\/a> or Elsien Gringhuis<\/a> and Studio Jux<\/a> from Holland to name just a few, show their collections, that sustainability<\/strong> does not preclude high fashion.<\/strong> They speak as industry insiders<\/strong> about the fair production conditions<\/strong> and social commitment<\/strong> about their labels and present great material innovations<\/strong> such as the Mallorca-based accessory label Maravillas Bags by Christina Bussmann that designs a vegan alternative<\/strong> to the leather bags with pineapple leather<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Greenshowroom Programm<\/h4>\n

In addition to the presentations of the collections, it is mainly the high-caliber presentations<\/strong> and discussions<\/strong> on sustainable development in the textile industry, which make the Greenshowroom so exciting. So expected by media representatives and trade visitors, among others exciting presentations for GOTS<\/a> certification, the realization of living wages and life cycle analysis<\/a>. The moving Norwegian web documentary<\/strong> “Sweatshop – deadly fashion”<\/a> will be shown, where the blogger Frida talks about her experiences as a factory worker in the garment industry in Cambodia.<\/p>\n

Eco-fashion Spotlight: the shows<\/h4>\n

As Highlights of the Greenshowroom count each season the two runway shows:<\/strong> As part of the Salonshow<\/strong> selected premium exhibitors presents their sustainable high fashion collections. The Ethical Fashion Show<\/strong> is the catwalk event for the casual and streetwear labels.<\/p>\n

Magnificent: The great outdoor area in front of the brick building of the Postbahnhof provides space for small food trucks with vegan delicacies,<\/strong> locally produced ice and numerous, wonderful refreshments.<\/p>\n
