The Story of Mud Jeans:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Founder Bert van Son went in 1984 with 23 years to China<\/strong>, to gain experiences in the textile industry. Here he experienced the negative effects<\/strong> of modern fast fashion industry.<\/a> Under the pressure to produce cheap, the factory workers were forced to gamble with their health and the security. Bert van Son wanted to find new and better ways of production<\/strong>. The result: his company Mud Jeans. A denim brand, that not only produces sustainable<\/strong><\/a> and socially acceptable<\/strong><\/a>, but also fully operates according to the principles of the recycling economy<\/strong>. It focuses on the traditional jeans that never go out of fashion.<\/p>\n

Sustainability:<\/strong>
\nIt all began with a dream. The dream to less waste. Waste that everyone cleans up behind himself. And so Bert van Son has developed the concept “Lease A Jeans”for his denim label in 2013, later called “Cotton Lease”. The Dutch label speaks for a whole new recycling principle<\/a><\/strong>. You pay monthly installments and change the old model after one year in a new one. Customers are requested to return<\/strong> their jeans to the manufacturer (for every back sent Jeans, there is a thank you) when they are worn out. They were cleaned and either pimped with patches and applications and sold as vintage models<\/strong> again. If that is not possible, they are crushed, mixed with fresh cotton and processed into new jeans, sweaters and T-shirts. New jeans are made from organic cotton<\/strong><\/a>, under fair working conditions<\/strong> <\/a>and produces extremely water-saving<\/strong><\/a>. A concept that is not only useful, but also fun.<\/p>\n
