Since green fashion 40 years ago appeared on the fashion floor, a lot has happened. The then current models of jute<\/strong> and hemp<\/strong> were to be recognized at first glance as eco-fashion<\/strong> and I honestly would not have had so much pleasure. Today there are more and more labels, the design fair and environmentally friendly fashion to rival optical fashion conventionally produced in anything worldwide. The difference between sustainable and conventional Producers consists in values<\/strong>. The claim, neither man<\/strong> nor inflict environmental<\/strong> damage. These designers and their pioneering techniques are the content of FASHION MADE FAIR.<\/p>\n

FASHION MADE FAIR – the standard work for fashionistas<\/h2>\n

From minimalistic to opulent, from casual to high fashion. The difference? A good conscience<\/strong>, one has to buy, because you know that production has taken place with regard to the environment and humans. The two authors Ellen K\u00f6hrer<\/strong> (journalist, reporter and blogger in Berlin) and Magdalena Schaffrin<\/strong> (fashion designer, an expert in sustainable fashion, founder Greenshowroom<\/a>) provides 33 established and young designers and labels in FASHION MADE FAIR, with sustainable responsible implement innovative ways. By doing so are great German designers such as Isabell de Hillerin<\/a>, Umasan<\/a>, Lanius<\/a>, ALINASCHUERFELD<\/a> and the label hessnatur<\/a>, that I have already portrayed on my-GREENstyle because for me their attitude and way of working is so exciting (Click here for my Label portraits<\/a>). Exciting news from Holland there of, e.g., Studio Elsien Gringhuis<\/a>, Mud Jeans<\/a> and Kings of Indigo. International portraits of i.a. Honest By<\/a> (Belgium), Lemlem<\/a> by Liya Kebede (USA), Reet Aus (Estonia) and Johanna Riplinger (France) round out the fantastic selection.

The stories of these labels are as unique<\/strong> as captivating<\/strong>. From resource-saving materials about recycling<\/a> or leasing methods and Upcycling models this trendsetting working designers and labels leave no opportunity to incorporate sustainability in their production processes. It makes just a lot more fun to keep a new favorite piece in your hands if you know that it has helped to make traditional handcrafts<\/strong> are preserved and jobs that people who made it has not had to suffer for it, that the environment<\/strong> is no harm was done<\/p>\n

What FASHION MADE FAIR, in my opinion, a hitherto unique publication in German speaking countries, in addition to fantastic photos<\/strong>, spreads and great portrait<\/strong>s for sustainable standard work makes: Fashion experts as the Belgian designer Bruno Pieters, actress and model Lily Cole<\/a> (also known as “Eco Warrior”) and the cradle-to-cradle initiator Michael Braungart to speak and explain key areas of sustainable fashion production such as transparency<\/strong>, ecological footprint<\/strong> and Fashion Revolution<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Conclusion for FASHION MADE FAIR: <\/strong>Thank you to the two authors for this informative and beautiful converted standard work, that will hopefully reach the Fashion fans who still face the issue of sustainable fashion critical. Now it will be understood that sustainable fashion is the future, not only as good looks like conventional collections, but also soothes the good conscience.<\/p>\n
