Doing good # 2: Chaingang x Sara Nuru<\/h3>\n

Munich-based jewelery designer Julia Neumann<\/strong> has always met me in the past. In her boutique<\/strong> in the wonderful quiet inner courtyard in Munich’s Theatinerstra\u00dfe<\/strong>. Or in form of her great jewelery<\/strong>. Just now I bought two friendship bracelets<\/strong> from her for my daughters. One with a sweet sheep. And the second with a shark. They will come under the Christmas tree and I am sure they will be worn for half an eternity.<\/p>\n

And now Julia Neumann has designed together with model Sara Nuru<\/strong> who has been an ambassador<\/strong> for “People for People” since 2009, three jeweleries for Karlheinz B\u00f6hm’s Aid for Ethiopia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sara Nuru accompanied three generations<\/strong> of women in Ethiopia for “People for People” and spoke to granddaughter, mother and grandmother. Now, together with Julia Neumann, she designed magical friendship bracelets<\/strong> of silver or gilded silver in Amharic script<\/strong>. They mean “protection”<\/strong>, “hope”<\/strong> and “dreams”<\/strong>. They stand for one generation and represent the three generations of women. These three terms form an invisible bond between the three generations of women – and between us when we carry them, expressing our solidarity<\/strong>. The proceeds of the jewelery support the foundation people for human beings – Karlheinz B\u00f6hm’s Aid for Ethiopia, which works for people in need<\/strong> in Ethiopia. Doing good # 3: TOMS x SOS Children’s Village<\/span><\/h3>\n

“No matter where it comes from, every child has a right to a safe and caring childhood.<\/strong>” With this Tanja Korn from SOS Kinderdorf e.V. is right. SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. has been working for refugee children and their families for years to promote their integration. Speaking the language of the country is a prerequisite for successful integration. The American company TOMS sees this as well. That is why TOMS supports the project “German lessons for unaccompanied minor refugees”<\/strong> with every sale of a shoe from its autumn \/ winter collection<\/p>\n
