It must be possible to produce aesthetically, pleasing shoes and bags, but also environmentally friendly and ethically correctly. Covered Alina Schürfeld who had actually studied Interior Design at the University of North London, and went on the search for materials and production methods, which corresponded to their conception. In 2009 she founded her eponymous label in Veddel, where the self-educator creates her visions in the form of sustainable and ethically produced favorite shoes. Originally focused on luxury, welted men’s shoes, now also women come in the enjoyment of ALINASCHUERFELD models that always mastered this balancing act between zeitgeist and timelessness. Her design language combined with her visions have then made sure that Alina Schürfeld 2011 was awarded the “Bunte New Faces Award Fashion” as the best accessory label.

Sustainability at ALINASCHUERFELD
Alina Schürfeld has proved with her label, that luxury shoes can be produced environmentally friendly. Instead of chemically treated, tanned with chrome leather she uses only vegetabil and environmentally friendly tanned leather from Germany, Italy and Spain. That the tanning with natural extracts of rhubarb (from the Allgau) is more complex and more expensive, the Hamburg woman likes to hazard the consequences. Absolute material highlight: ALINASCHUERFELD uses organic certified Salmon leather (Nanai). The german native salmon skin is a fantastic alternative to exotic leather. Although salmon leather (from Nanai) is due to its scale structure and the natural color complex in the processing. But the result is always unique. Another benefit of salmon skin: It is very soft, smooth and ultra comfortable. The welted shoes are made in Spain, heels in Italian factories by traditional craftsmanship. Among the many family-run craft workshops maintains Alina Schürfeld a direct, personal contact. The pocket lining is made from GOTS certified organic cotton.
