I can´t await, that trees and meadows are shining in all green variants. Each new leave on my terrace, my heart leaps a little higher. For all the same who are waiting impatiently, I have three green travel tips for Italy, Mallorca and friends of the overses travel, to Cambodia. And in these three Eco-hotels are not only housed luxurious – one lives in the middle of the fantastic nature.

Meisters Hotel Irma
Located in the residential area of Merano and yet an oasis of calm. The family-run four-star superior retreat “Meisters Hotel Irma” is located in a huge park. Besides the main house, the Villa Amore and the residence, it is mainly a very special spot, that interests me: the suite in the tree.
The suite in the tree is a is a luxuriously appointed treehouse, which was built in the mighty pines in the park. Wonderfully hidden, a little walk from the main house, perched this fantastically airy loft above the already lush green park of the hotel. Merry birdsongs in the morning, romantic crickets chirping in the evening – and in between a lot of fresh air to breathe. Thanks to the large glass fronts, you have even to stay in bed to feel immersed in nature. My highlight: the 65 square meter terrace where you can have breakfast or enjoy extensively at dusk a glass of red wine. Gran Hotel Son Net on Mallorca
This luxury boutique hotel has been carefully integrated in an old mansion in 1998 (according to legend, the ownership of a brave pirate) from the 17th century. On a hill the spacious property nestled in the southwest of the island softly in the luxuriant nature of the majestic Tramuntana mountains (since 2011 UNESCO World Heritage Site). In recent years they had invested in the nature in “Son Net” in addition to the natural conditions consuming: For the Production of their own wine and olive oil, they are now using organic methods to cultivate – over 100 years old olive trees characterize the anyway very green image. Domestic sheeps, chickens and donkeys have found a safe home. Big plus: The hotel follows a consistent recycling policy and is working with the nearby village of Puigpunyent in the development of sustainable models, that support original cultivation methods and protect nature.
My personal highlight: the private cabanas around the swimming pool. Beautifully one can hardly relax. 4 Floating River Lodge in Kambodscha
Pure nature! Only to reach with boats are the 12 indescribable, floating Glamping Villas in the clear waters off the coast of the island of Krong Koh Kong. No roads, no civilization. Surrounded by the peaceful tranquility of the water, you can look in all directions at the impressive, deep green rainforest. Inspired by the floating villages on the Mekong Delta, the owner couple has created in collaboration with the Wildlife Alliance this holiday paradise with the utmost respect for the unique nature of South-East Asia.
