Coco Chanel imported costume jewellery into the couture and made it acceptable. A big step, that allowed access to decorative padding accessories for all classes of society. What Gabrielle Chanel at the time had no idea in what quantities costume jewellery for several decades would depend in fast fashion chains. There is hardly anything more beautiful than a piece of jewellery for eternity. A real favorite piece that can tell a story like this Eco jewellery. And the nice thing is: With the purchase of this truly affordable Eco-darlings, we also support nor the craftsmen who made them unique! In this sense: #byebyefastfashion – #helloecodarling!
Eco jewellery favorites from Inheels, Folkdays and Umiwi
Inheels
The sustainable fashion and jewellery label was launched in 2012 in Tokyo. After the resounding success and the great demand in the first year a Inheels-branch was opened in London a year later. Inheels produces fair trade fashion from Nepal and India and places great importance on the selection of materials. Especially great, for me the jewellery line is, derived from the remains of disarmed landmines and bomb parts from Cambodia.
