We want to make fashion, in which we can be proud
The Story of Studio Jux:
After the Dutch designer Jitske Lundgren had finished her fashion studies in Utrecht, South Hampton and Paris, she made a study tour in India, which changed everything. The way fashion was produced there, like the unhealthy dyeing and production process for workers and the environment, they shocked and influenced her attitude towards fashion. She decided to produce in her own way and founded Studio Jux 2008. In order to produce her collections fair, she established over the years her own production in Nepal. Meanwhile, the label has won several awards, the Ethical Fashion Award in Paris, the Green Fashion Competition in Amsterdam and is available internationally in many countries.
Sustainability:
The label operates sustainable, produces fair and search constantly for innovative materials and resource-saving processing methods. The clothes are formed of organic cotton, hemp and recycled plastic bottles. Important for the label are, however, the production conditions for the workers. The name Studio Jux means that fashion should be fun. Not only the consumers, but also the tailors and suppliers who manufacture it. The motto of Studio Jux is: “Our cutters are rock stars”. And Rockstars seldom remain anonymous, it is possible to find out who exactly made it by a code sewn into each garment. On the website of the label, the customer can see a picture of the tailor and get to know him. In addition, the label dedicated to the advancement of women and works together with Terre des Hommes. It is a member of the Fair Wear Foundation and the Clean & Unique Assiciation.
