Since I met Andrea Bury, founder of Abury, over a year ago in Berlin, I am fascinated by her project, her commitment and power. Aside from the fact that it provides as part of the Abury Design Experience always create fantastic bag collections. So it was only a matter of time before I dedicate her a Eco-Darling, in this case, the Canteen Bag Ivan.

Why did I take so long? Because I could not decide which bag I like best. In the past I have presented the beautiful, hand-crafted Berber Bag on my-GREENstyle.com sometimes. And that’s why I have chosen explicitly another fantastic model this time: the Canteen Bag Ivan from the “A non existing Tribe Collection”.

Circle round, made of natural raffia, provided with shoulder strap, buckle and XL Tassel made from vegetable-dyed leather the Canteen Bag Ivan’s just a beautiful piece of jewelry. For the day for night, forever. Casual, elegant – 24/7 Eco-Darling. But that of course is not enough, because it is handmade in Ecuador. The British designer Pam Samasuwo Nyawiri who worked for many years as a journalist, has further developed the award-winning design expert for luxury leather goods.

Inspired by the Namibian Himba tribe and the indigenous population in Ecuador, the winner of Abury Design Experience 2015 Canteen Bag Ivan, the part of a fantastic six-bag collection is developed together with the local people. It reflects the culture of the two peoples and unites the traditional craftsmanship. Not least, the bag is the epitome of their fantastic creativity and empathy. And the Canteen Bag Ivan is from inside a real gem – it is lined with bright lining in bright orange or blue eclectic.
