Three charity news, which I like to support
Doing good can be so easy. These three charity projects have made me particularly happy. And if I have the opportunity to support by the purchase of a beautiful product also still great projects, I have double joy.
Charity #1: Matt & Nat „Hope“
Puristic and super elegant – the vegan accessory label Matt & Nat has designed a dream bag with the crossbody bag “Hope” and donates the entire (!) Proceeds for a good cause. And for which? The buyer decides! On the online page of Matt & Nat you can indicate for which organization the purchase price of 60 euros is to be donated. There are organizations that support people, animals or the environment. Among other things, the Magic Bus, which helps children and young people in Indian communities from poverty. Or Wild Tomorrow Fund, which is in use for endangered animal species such as elephants, rhinoceroses and lions. The self-awareness and abilities of girls and women promotes Girls Action Foundation.

An incomprehensibly great action, which I immediately support: I put the bag on my Christmas wishes. And my daughters have already chosen for what the purchase price is to be donated: For the Wild Tomorrow Fund. After all, they want to be researchers later. And if nothing is done, there will not be many exotic animals left, which they can then explore.

Charity # 2: Hats of Warm ME
The dreamlike hats of the Salzburg-based hat label Warm ME are made in Nepal by knitters from the finest Mongolian cashmere in loving handwork. Knitted is traditionally with needles or on hand knitting machines. Speaking of handwork: The goats are hand-combed and the wool is then dyed manually. More than 80,000 Warm ME hats let look the people around the world better. And that’s good!

Warm ME Founder Iris and Christian Obojes have not only created some vital jobs in Nepal with their hat project. The sale of their soft and cuddly hats supports the social projects of the Namaste e.V. association in the Rolwaling Valley, a section of the Himalayas: schools, bridges, roads are being rebuilt after the earthquake, so that life for the local people is eventually restored. Tractors were delivered, solar pannels built, jobs created for Sherpas. And this fantastic story continues. With every purchased hat a small piece.

Charity #3: TOMS x Apple Watch – GIVE TIME
An estimated 1.2 billion people still have no access to reliable electricity in the 21st century. This also affects the income, well-being and the health of the people. TOMS supports projects that want to balance energy poverty with solar energy. And this ensures that even after sunset, can be learned, as an alternative to expensive light sources, an average of ten percent of their household income is saved by many families, the absence of kerosene and paraffin in the house improves health, the risk of fire is reduced, etc.
