Why I’ve published the Eco-Resort Pine Beach article again? because we’re going to spend our summer holiday in Croatia again this year. We’ve asked our girls about their favorite summer destination. And the answer is easy – Eco-resort Pine Beach. Yes, we have found in the former Club Med a great holiday paradise, which is unparalleled. The combination of pure nature, XL-range of sport possibilities and wonderful mediterranean all-inclusive food (yes, I cook very much, no, not even every day on holiday) I can not actually remember the last time I was so relaxed.

For a short time, we were thinking about what we should visit during these summer holidays. But the children’s response was clear: Pine Beach. In the first year with a friendly family, we have already set out on the way to the Croatian Adriatic near the historical city of Zadar as a rather opulent travel group consisting of a total of five (!) Families, which we have stuck with our enthusiasm.
Good night: Natural reet huts instead of hotel rooms
Lovingly tied to country-specific reet, the 560 cottages with two, three or four beds are scattered over the XL forest and the gentle hills. Some near the sand bay, some on the steep coast, sometimes on the hill, which extends from the water into the area. Which of the huts, which all have their own name, you get, you do not know in advance. And every time one is waiting eagerly to see whether this will be the Shark, Danube or Bob Marley.

Living between craggy boulders that look as if they had just fallen from the sky above which only the deep blue sky and the gigantic pines are located, whose pretty cones are fantastically suitable for the adornment of sand castles – one can find a more relaxed environment for a Holiday in nature? Not me. And in fact I have not slept so well for a long time.
Pure nature: Eco-conditioning by natural circulation
At first, I had a brief thought about whether the reet huts, which are open to the outside between the wall and the roof, might become too hot or too cold – the temperature of the sleeping room was always perfect. And for all those who immediately think of the annoying mosquitos: a) I did not have a single bite in four weeks. And b) Over each bed hangs an XL-mosquito net, which in our case exclusively provides a romantic sky bed feeling.
Sustainability at the Eco-Resort Pine Peach
There is no air conditioning (you don´t need one thanks to pine and eco-circulation) and no pool. And no one misses it when he strolls over the microfine white sand through crystal-clear water. Thanks to its shallow depth, the area in the sand bay warms up so wonderfully that even swimming classes for children are held here. Oh yes: In the huts there is also no electricity. Light is made with flashlights and the mobile phones are enclosed at the reception in numbered stations for the charging time.
Well showered: the sanitary facilities
The eight sanitary facilities (renovated in 2013) are not connected to the cottages. They are spread over the pine grove at easily accessible places. What my daughters particularly liked: teeth are cleaned at outdoor sinks under the wonderful clear starry sky..
Plenty of Sand – a rarity in Croatia
The fact that there are only stone beaches in Croatia is often the argument for many families, travel again to Italy. But the Pine Beach has a wonderfully large sand bay with crystal clear water. Ideal play area for small children, because the way to swimming depths is quite long. Wonderful place to stay thanks to wonderfully warm water for the larger ones. If you want to swim properly, you will find beautiful walkways and wooden pontoons that lead directly into the crystal clear water over the rocky coast.
Sports fans watched: the right sport for every taste
Also included in the price are numerous sporting activities such as sailing (try it absolutely), Stand up paddeling, kayaking, (perfect for snorkle trips) windsurfing, tennis, table tennis, basketball, football on artificial turf, beach volleyball (also with organized tournaments), aerobics, Waterpark with slides, trampoline & Co., archery, boccia, minigym, minigolf, a climbing wall and a high ropes course (different courses on two heights for young and old). Perfect for Early Birds: In the morning you can participate in wonderfully relaxed yoga classes. There are no questions left open, right? Except perhaps the question with which sport one should start the day. And if you want to relax from all the sporting events, you can book a massage at the reception for a surcharge
Entertainment for young and old
And in the evenings you meet at the Mareto Bar. While the children in the open-air mini-disco dance with the great entertainments, the mini-talent show or banned one of the fantastic chorographed shows follow, Meet the big ones for reading, play board games or enjoy a delicious cocktail. I personally am not really a fan of Club evenings. But what the hosts presents there in the form of acrobatics and dance shows is really impressive.
Restaurant & Bars
My perfect morning? A Lavazza espresso on the terrace of the Reet-covered Mareto bar. Above me the pine trees, in front of me the glittering sea. Around me nothing but the smell of coffee in the nose. The new central restaurant has just opened, which offers a buffet breakfast and two times a day, at different stations, with Mediterranean dishes. In addition to delicious fresh, grilled fish and meat, there are also pasta & pizza areas, soups, salad bars, a varied vegetable selection and fruits. I am not betraying that there is in the evening (of course also included in the all-inclusive) an ice buffet. And for the adults: beer and wine are included with the meals.

Special offer for families who do not sleep together in a 4-bed cottage (expandable with a child’s bed): When booking two neighboring cottages, a child under 12 years is free for the duration of the entire stay. Price per person: from 41 Euro per day. Open from the first Saturday in June to the second Saturday of September. Especially great: arrival and departure are daily possible.
Suitable for whom
Those who love camping can find themselves at the Pine Beach Club in paradise. Instead of the tent you can sleep here in real beds, and do not have to cook yourself. Fantastic sports facilities and a children’s club make this place a holiday paradise for the whole family. And that is why we will book again. For the third time in a row. That means something, doesn´t it?
