ANZEIGE

Popup stores in Munich are sprouting from the ground at every corner. A wonderful development, I think. And since it is, of course, only a temporary phenomenon, then those sad are those who have missed to look at the lovingly curated boutiques on time. A small consolation: you always find the link to the websites of the wonderful creative makers. Hurry up! And have fun with discovering the Popup Stores in Munich!

♥ Popup-Stores in Munich: inspired Concept Store (July 2 to July 28 2018)

While Jan Vermeer’s “Woman in Blue Reading a Letter” in the Pinakothek draws everyone’s attention, my favorite Dutch designers in the Loftcube BEFORE the Pinakothek show that sustainable fashion is a) super sexy b) artful and c) (but that’s my point anyway) can be great. Organized is the whole as a collaboration of museum, city, country and various partnerships. Important for us: inspired – re: shaping design for our future. This is a Dutch-German initiative that works to transform traditional design and thought processes. So the press release. Translated: Dutch designers who have understood that slow is the new fast and eco the new cool bring their great collections to Munich to show what is possible in the sustainable field. And of course, to enrich our wardrobes and apartments with great design pieces.

More than a Popup: the inspired concept store is simultaneously an event location, workshop space and meeting place

Minimalist and Sustainable: Studio Elsien Gringhuis (c) Tse Kao Photography

And who is there? In addition to my favorite Dutchman Elsien Gringhuis you can also look forward to Amber Ambrose Aurele x Judith van Vliet, Hellen van Rees, Het Groenlab, Juffrouw Dubois, Mud Jeans Sustainable Eco-Darling, Myomy Do Goods’ Ingenious Bags, Painted Series, Rhumaa’s Inspirational Artist Print Collection, Stones Stories , Teym and Tossijn. Good to know – more than pop-up: the inspired Concept Store is both an event location, a workshop space and a meeting place. Workshops like “How do I build my own plant terrarium?” have already taken place. On July 22, from 1 to 5 pm, for example, Saskia van Drimmelen and Margreet Sweerts at Golden Joinery show how repairs not only keep an item alive, but enhance it and individualize it, thus setting an important signal against the disposable mentality of our time.

♥ Pop-up Stores in Munich – COCO Monaco (until 31.12.2017)

In the middle instead of thereby, could be the motto of the current pop-up new entry in Munich. Because COCO Monaco has settled directly on, pardon, at the Marienplatz. In this temporary department store of Munich finesse, four local visionaries show their sustainable, locally produced favorite pieces. And in the midst of Germany’s most popular fast-fashion shopping mile, this is a wonderfully slow alternative to the usual consumer chains. Franziska Bergmiller shows the latest collection of her children’s label LOVE Kidswear (do not miss, because in these dream parts I have shooted my girls in the summer). The Cashmere Darlings by Barbara Giadomenico’s Label studio 163 is particularly cuddly. Annika Schüler makes Must-Have handmade porcelain (I’ve fallen in love with the Me & May Popup Store). New for me are the wonderfully timeless interior parts of Jonas Hansen.

Wonderful alternative to the usual chains: the temporary department store COCO Monaco

And because you are still more together than alone, the four Munich-based makers, in the sense of an Artisan store, also offer other beautiful things from other creatives. Bags and accessories by Bea Buehler, Dukta and Lucky Mes, fashion by Perret Schaad. Men pyjamas by Herman Bacher, leather sneaker by nat-2, shoes from Zoe Lee, Iolani eyewear, Saint Clouds natural cosmetics and Beyer’s Oil beard care products. Ceramic products are also available from Brigitta Schrader and Motelamio. Furniture by Pult Design, Peppermint Products and Sebastian Frank as well as carpets by Fattoria Paloni. And of course you can not miss food, too: products from Mono Tee and Matcha You, Art of Oil, Feel Gin and Vin D’Orange.

♥ Popup Stores in Munich – Berliner Zimmer (June 22 to 25, 2017)

Please enter, it is from 22.6., when for four days a here-will-I-immediately-move-in-apartment in the Glockenbach appears. In the “Berliner Zimmer” pop-up store, young interior labels show what they mean by future-oriented, sustainable design. The CO2-certified label Sitzfeldt shows its ultra-cool, wonderfully flexible design sofas, on which one can relax wonderfully. They consistently refrain from intermediaries and broad transport routes and instead rely on fair production and maximum quality.

Timelessly elegant, sustainable and handmade

Stocubo has adapted itself to modern ways of life. The wonderfully minimalist modular shelving systems made of FSC-certified materials make every move without tools (!) And immediately transform the new home into a beloved home. Keep in mind: The Stocubo editions, which are designed with exciting artists. The neon light design elements in the form of flamingos, palm trees, lettering & Co. by sygns provide a good mood. In addition: the contemporary furniture of Bartmann Berlin and the custom-made oak wood furniture from the own forest of Bullenberg

Meet the makers – in the Berliner Zimmer everything is real

Do not be surprised if you suddenly have a new lamp under your arm, because the Lukkizzi floor lamps are simply irresistible. Not to mention the hand-crafted favorite carpets of THE KNOTS, which transform your home into a cozy oasis. Sounds great? Is fantastic! And, beware: in the Berliner Zimmer you can discover not only the wonderful, sustainable, handmade design pieces. The visionary makers will tell you about their passion, their production methods and everything that interests you. So, make a thick cross in the calendar! See you there!

♥ Pop-up Stores in Munich – Me & May! (Until the end of October 2017)

Julia von Jute Laune made me aware of the two wonderful makers behind the Munich label Me & May. Clearly, her great espandrilles in metallic colors, with fetlock straps, plate shafts … here also a place have found. They also fit so well with the current Me & May summer collection. This is now available in addition to the Me & May-Atelier with retail shop in Sendling also until the end of October in the Popup-Store in the Hackenstraße. What distinguishes the collections of Melissa Knorr and Mathilde Feuillet? The two make feminine everyday favorite pieces – always with a special twist. In the current summer collection it is quite exotic.

Me & May make favorite mode with French touch

Here wild tigers and delicate flamingos between exotic leaves rages about trousers, jumpsuits & co. There are also kimono jackets from dreamy jaquard, small pleated jackets in orange, smoky blouses with XS dots in gold … Their first collection was self-sewn by the two. But after six years, this is no longer the case. Their lasting favorite pieces are therefore produced in a small sewing in Poland. Very sweet, by the way, the enamelled buttons with pineapple & Co. – which are also from France – by the button maker, whom Mathilde and Melissa commissioned for their collection.

And what else can you find in the Popup-Store in Hackenstraße?

Had not been an editor for years, I would like to describe the pillows of Sosthène with the following words: “screech”. That forbids me my journalistic honor, but I think that one still understands what I mean. For the dreamlike pillows (available in desired size) with flamingos, leaves, palm trees, pineapple, fish & Co. would like to take everyone immediately. Who does it? The mother of Mathilde. Because the creativity probably lies in the family …

Fantastic cushions, filigree jewelery and magnificent porcelain objects

A French woman is also responsible for the great handmade jewelry. Gisel B. has been inspired by graphic forms and nature. The result: airy light arm braces, creoles & Co. The pale shades used by the Munich porcelain master Annika Schüler for her bowls, mugs, cups and vases are refreshing like a salty sea breeze. Sky & Filou – there is also something for the beloved four-legged friends. Super tasty treats and smart beds. You could be almost envious.

Good to know

From June 2 Me & May and Brillenschneider (Amalienstraße 33/32) and Trouvel Bel (Fürstenstr. 9) organize a local shopping event. If you buy goods in one of the three shops, you get a shopping voucher of 30 euros for the purchase of at least 150 euros in the three shops (redeemable until September 30, 2017). (Only for the ME & MAY collection and eyewear). It’s often better together …

♥ Popup Stores in Munich – Geheim! (in english: Secret) (Until June 23, 2017)

Franziska Bergmiller and her wonderful children’s label LOVE kidswear I met last year as part of the Crowdfunding project Startupstore n’Stories. I wanted to introduce my top 5 newcomers. And of course, Franziska was with her fantastic children’s collections, which are so gorgeous off the mainstream. Currently, the native Munich woman, who has worked with Vivienne Westwood, has teamed up with a few other locals. Together they show their creative, sustainable favorite pieces in the Popup Store at Rindermarkt. Geheim! – so the name of the enchanting sustainable treasure chamber – the temporary shop is mo longer. Because it gets around, if there is a new gem in the city.

Wonderful creative children’s collection off the mainstream – LOVE kidswear

And what awaits us in Geheim? Refined LOVE kidswear favorite pieces with ruffles, stripes or sweet dots for girls and casual pants and jumper for boys. Good to know: With every sold part of the summer collection, Franziska supports the non-profit organization “start somewhere”, which enables children in the slums of Kibera near Nairobi to tie school and food. missistipi designs clever-creative tech accessories – the small leather-cuddle finally finishes the headphone cable spaghetti in my handbag. The furniture from local woods from Anton Doll I also would like to take with me: the clean shelves, tables and stools made of woodmanship are real gems and hand-carvers at the same time. Incredibly beautiful are also the jewellery of Maria Over.

Favorite pieces for children, jewellery, creative minds, upcycling porcelain

Sweet earrings, small tassels, and – Attention: great gift for all baptisms, communion celebrations and godparents – the lady bird chains & Co. Not to mention the Arzberg porcelain, to which she breathes new life with bold brushwork. Always fascinating, what some people think. And so I fell in love with the maximum creative craft kit of Forschen für Kinder and gave my daughter the Isar-Diver model for a birthday present. This is now lit next to her bed. And so that mommy can shop in peace, the committed makers read the dear little in the reading corner. The books by LeseLotte are also simply too beautiful to use as a decoration only.

WHERE? Geheim!, Ruffinihaus at the Rindermarkt, 80331 Munich, Mon – Sat: 11 am to 6 pm. You can find news here
