Why is the day of pants precisely on March 11, one wonders immediately. The explanation is a little profane. The Mönchengladbach trouser specialist Gardeur, entered as the first pure pants brand in Germany, has been more than 45 years ago, a study on purchasing pants and fit problems in order – and finally declared March 11 to be the day of pants. And because the pants purchase actually is not an easy subject, I have compiled here out my five favorite cuts. Who wonders, why the still hip Culotte is not present – with this section, I’m still not become warm. But I’ll try again on occasion.
My five favorite trousers for the day of pants
1. Male-Trousers
I love masculine Pants. There is in my opinion, hardly a more exciting combination as masculine inspired Pants with ultra feminine tops. Low-cut décolleté, gently flowing silk blouses or cut on waist cashmere sweaters. Bruno Pieters has hit the mark with this (vegan!) Herringbone trousers made of line. Plus: Because these pants waistband is adjustable, it can be loosely worn on the hip and as Highwaist trousers. Good as it gets really hard. Honest by was founded in January 2012 and has taken up the flag to make the production chain from yarn to the production methods and the pricing to 100 percent transparent.

2. Trackpants
Trackpants have incredibly versatile combinations. Transparent with sneakers or flats or elegant with plateaus or heels. Another plus: Trackpants are incredibly comfortable. Obviously, Stella McCartney, the undisputed expert on uncomplicated and easily combinable parts, got inspired of the sweatpants cut for her program. With perfect, elegant interface and from a magnificent crepe. Sustainable and – of course – vegan!

3. Bootcut Jeans
Sure, that jeans should not be missed with my favorite pants. Besides slimpants I love the relaxed bootcut version especially in the summer. With airy Flip flops, for me the absolute feel-good hippie feeling trousers. I can not expect, that it will finally be warm enough! 4. Cigarette pants
The cream-colored Cigarette pant (95 percent organic cotton) of the Hamburg Eco-Label Jan ‘n June, puts me immediately in the holiday mood. Classic cut, outrageously feminine and with a bit of nostalgia (Viva la dolce vita!), I just need sunshine and a pleasant café with delicious espresso to dream me on vacation. 5. Slouchy Pants
Wide leg, narrow conclusion, casual side pockets – slouchy pants (or harem pants) of high quality materials (here wool) are real all-rounder, with which you are always dressed properly.
