New location for Greenshowroom
The sustainable exhibition duo Greenshowroom / Ethical Fashion Show is moving again after just one turn in the Berlin Funkhaus. Reason for the short guest play in the Funkhaus? The location. Because the connection to the other fairs during the Fashion Week Berlin was not ideal, not to say a real challenge. Although there were regularly moving shuttles from the premium at the Gleisdreieck, but with a good hour driving time for many press representatives and trade visitors uninteresting or simply not timely.
From periphery to center – new location for Greenshowroom
Messe Frankfurt, organizer of the green fair duo in Berlin, has now responded to this. With the Kraftwerk at the Köpenicker Straße in Berlin Mitte, a “city” location has finally been found for the upcoming Berlin Fashion Week (16 to 18 January 2018), which is also feasible in the tightly scheduled calendar of appointments during the tightly measured exhibition days. Also new: With the FashionSustain, Messe Frankfurt is launching a conference on the second day of the fair (17.1.) On the areas of Future of Textiles and Sustainability. Good to know: The #Fashiontech conference organized by the Premium Group is also taking place in the Kraftwerk.
INNATEX + Panorama Berlin = XOOM
The sustainable fashion scene makes another step in the spotlight thanks to an innovation of INNATEX. In July, I visited the world’s largest trade fair for sustainable textiles for the first time. Why at first now? On the one hand due to a deadline collision with Berlin Fashion Week. On the other hand because of the – sorry – not very simple location. For 20 years, the Messecenter Rhein-Main has been the venue for the world metropolis of Hofheim-Wallau in the Taunus, which was more accessible than feared, but the move towards Berlin is definitely welcome.
A part of INNATEX comes to Berlin from January 2018
This is precisely what the International Fair for Sustainable Textiles is all about. As a partner of the leading PANORAMA BERLIN trade fair in Berlin, XOOM is expanding its exhibition portfolio in addition to its showrooms in Salzburg and Berne, creating an interesting exhibition space for green fashion brands on the grounds of Messe Berlin with around 1000 square meters. This was the answer to the demand of numerous exhibitors to “move INNATEX to Berlin”. Accordingly, many of the regular exhibitors (including Feuervogl, Komodo, Lana, Recolution) have already reported. For more information, click here
